David’s place was nice. The ensuite shower is very small. The floor of the shower is barely 3’x3’ and the shower head is positioned at a low level. There is very little counter space in this bathroom as well. The other bathroom was nice. The oven appears not to have been cleaned in a while and feel it would not have been sanitary enough for me to use. The bottom cabinets in the kitchen appear to need a good scrubbing also. I could not describe this place as being meticulously clean just perhaps a surface clean. I did enjoy the paintings throughout the house though, they were cute. Ours was just a one night stay.

We had to sweep and mop the place when we checked in. Baseboard wood are separating from each other. The pictures did not show condition of bathtub. The shower head in master bathroom sprayed water everywhere and Shower liner was dirty. Pictures of this place needs to be updated on website or update the place. Did not enjoy our stay.

I had a fantastic stay at David’s place in Tickfaw!From the start, David was incredibly welcoming and responsive, we arrived in town sooner than expected and David allowed us to check in immediately. The property was spotless, well-equipped, and had such a cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect for our stay. I’m originally from this area, so I was very familiar with the surroundings and the local fare. But David provided me with additional intel to be aware of because of some local events that could impact our stay. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a great weekend in Baton Rouge or the New Orleans Metro area. Long weekend visit for a family member's funeral. Great location for the Amite/Hammond area. One of the cleanest and easiest to checking properties we have booked on AirBnB. Everything worked as expected and house rules were very reasonable. Will definitely book again when visiting the area.

On a scale of 1-10, and 10 being extremely satisfied. I would give it a 8. The place was very nice. However, there was no patio furniture, and not enough useful pots, pans, etc. There was coffee, but the coffee machine did not work. David was however, very flexible with changing our dates to arrive, and leave. Overall, I have stayed at several places, and would say this ranks high on the list. David just need to make sure the basics are covered, and patio furniture is available if listed
