Cute place but needs upkeep. Positive: The house is nice and well designed. Love the concrete floors. The second bath in this one was helpful with 3 adults. Lots of space and pretty well supplied kitchen. Negative: One bed frame was VERY loose and could have come apart if a little pressure was applied. Not good for a 350 lb person. The bathtub has VERY bad cracks which could catch skin. Baths and kit are so calcified that they don't appear to have EVER been cleaned. dust bunnies behind the doors. Dirty wall. Stuff in shower which I cleaned off very easily were NOT cleaned before I came. Upkeep on this property needs MORE. Wifi was so iffy the TV and phones seemed to have trouble working at the same time. And the VERY forceful NO EVENTS rule may be the dealbreaker. I wanted to cook a meal and play cards with my 75 yr old sister and her son, but did not as I did not want a $500 charge. Sad.

David’s place was nice. The ensuite shower is very small. The floor of the shower is barely 3’x3’ and the shower head is positioned at a low level. There is very little counter space in this bathroom as well. The other bathroom was nice. The oven appears not to have been cleaned in a while and feel it would not have been sanitary enough for me to use. The bottom cabinets in the kitchen appear to need a good scrubbing also. I could not describe this place as being meticulously clean just perhaps a surface clean. I did enjoy the paintings throughout the house though, they were cute. Ours was just a one night stay.

This place was very nice. The only “issue” that needs to be addressed is the bed frame. The bed frame was coming apart from the left side in the guest bedroom. The bathrooms were very nice, had plenty of towels, soap, great water pressure & clean.

We had to sweep and mop the place when we checked in. Baseboard wood are separating from each other. The pictures did not show condition of bathtub. The shower head in master bathroom sprayed water everywhere and Shower liner was dirty. Pictures of this place needs to be updated on website or update the place. Did not enjoy our stay.

I had a fantastic stay at David’s place in Tickfaw!From the start, David was incredibly welcoming and responsive, we arrived in town sooner than expected and David allowed us to check in immediately. The property was spotless, well-equipped, and had such a cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect for our stay. I’m originally from this area, so I was very familiar with the surroundings and the local fare. But David provided me with additional intel to be aware of because of some local events that could impact our stay. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a great weekend in Baton Rouge or the New Orleans Metro area. This gives you a quaint, serene, comfortable stay without the hassle of the city. Great location, even better host! Thank you, David!

Long weekend visit for a family member's funeral. Great location for the Amite/Hammond area. One of the cleanest and easiest to checking properties we have booked on AirBnB. Everything worked as expected and house rules were very reasonable. Will definitely book again when visiting the area.

I love Benton Villas, If your looking for a nice place to stay for a vacation. On a scale of 1-10, and 10 being extremely satisfied. I would give it a 8. The place was very nice. However, there was no patio furniture, and not enough useful pots, pans, etc. There was coffee, but the coffee machine did not work. David was however, very flexible with changing our dates to arrive, and leave. Overall, I have stayed at several places, and would say this ranks high on the list. David just need to make sure the basics are covered, and patio furniture is available if listed
