If you’re looking for a place to stay not bad, but if you are looking to stay somewhere with a decent host, I wouldn’t recommend it. This is stated at a pet friendly accommodation yet my cats were able to access rat poison in the bedroom sending us to the vet, giving us an $800 bill. When I arrived for check in there was no power, not a big deal but the David did not communicate this even though he knew it 7 hours prior to check in, having animals and this being the south I had to sit in my car for 4 hours waiting on power to be restore because of his lack of communication. Over all 0/10 for me maybe a 5/10 for you.

A truly welcoming sight. The Milk Hand House provided a peaceful refuge for this couple during a stressful time following the devastating tornadoes in Brookhaven, Mississippi last week. Conveniently located near the I-55/I-12 corridor, the home offered comfort, calm, and a much-needed retreat away from the local hysteria back home. Highly appreciated during such difficult circumstances.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, this is definitely the place. Sort of isolated in the wooded area and is super spooky at night. The house is very comfortable and cozy. I enjoyed my stay.

It worked for what we needed on such short notice. There was an extra security camera facing the front door and lounging area on the porch that was not mentioned or pictured. We were unable to use the bedroom AC unit, which was okay since it wasn't hot outside. Host responded quickly! The bed was comfortable! It has easy access to the highway. Thank you!

We stayed at Milk Hand House for 5 days and let me tell you... it was just he cutest most quiet place ever. Our first night coming back to the cabin we saw a Deer, which for us is not very rare as we live in the Midwest but I still love seeing them. Was not too far from everything but still far enough that it felt like home and the owners were just amazing to work with!

comfy cozy and perfectly located for the louisiana renfest Positive: It was calm and cozy; there was water left for us in the fridge which came very much in handy since I had HORRIBLE reflux on the trip, and the beds were very soft. The shower was refreshing and I appreciated that there were laundry and ironing amenities on-site even if we didn't end up using them. Negative: The house was always a little bit chilly but honestly I think that was just the construction? You can't really do anything about that without razing the thing and starting over and that would honestly be a waste of a perfectly good little house.

Me and my husband needed an overnight getaway. David’s place was pretty perfect for what we were looking for. The home itself had everything we would need along with extras. It was very peaceful and private. The day before and the day after our stay we drove around the general area for different things to see/do. We were overall pleased and would definitely come back.

It was a great place to stay! I love how private it was the place was super clean. The cabin looked like the photos, it is located on a piece of land, very peaceful and serene. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to nature. It was a little bit hard to find only because I arrived at night. The only slightly unfavorable situation are the bugs, and again, it is located in the midst of nature so it is pretty much to be expected. Everything else was perfect.

I was looking for some piece and quite to work and enjoy some alone time. This little place was great. The Internet was super fast and I was able to work online during the day. I enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch I was able to spot deer, rabbits and other wildlife while enjoying my morning coffee. Thanks

The property is well situated in a remote area free of city noise or neighbors, and it’s not too far from quick eateries and a gas station. Check-in was super quick and easy. The living and bedroom spaces were immaculate with comfortable spaces to sit and rest. My friend and I were able to rest after a full day of travel in this air-conditioned home that was overall very beautiful and comfortable. One sudden and immense downside of our stay was when we found a huge cockroach in the bathtub in the evening that made bathing/showering impossible, followed by waking up and finding a baby cockroach in one of our drinking thermoses. We reached out to David regarding the big cockroach to which we did not receive a response. We do hope that the next visitor does not encounter this kind of issue.

Loved the place. It was in a quiet area with lots of peaceful surrounding land. Full amenities with almost everything one would need. The only negative thing I would say about the stay was that the cabin was unbearably hot, and the air conditioner could not keep up. Other than that, David was very responsive, nice, and was happy to accommodate us when issues came to.
