Judy House

We had a great stay! Exactly what we needed while visiting some family nearby. Lots of space for us and our pup. Floors were a little dusty & had some cobwebs hanging around but not a huge issue really, this is in somewhat rural area. Furniture & linens were clean & seemed recently freshened up.

Second time here and will stay again. Everything was again as David describes. Clean and perfect.

We visited this property while having work done to our home about two miles away. The property is an older home with updates on a quiet country street. The rooms were spacious and since I work from home the office area was a welcome surprise. The home is listed as having three bedrooms but the office space could also double as an additional bedroom. There were televisions in the bedrooms which is always nice. With two full baths, it made getting dressed easy for our group of four. There is a large yard which was nice for our pups. If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay for a family or group, located less than an hour from New Orleans or Baton Rouge, this property is a solid option.

Our family was in the area for a wedding. I was very happy to find David's place which accommodated our large group of family visiting from different places. The home was also very conveniently near the venue. If I visited the area again I would definitely choose this home.

David was a very responsive and friendly host. Just house is large and comfortable and reflects the online description accurately. We didn’t need for anything during our stay and we’re able to effortlessly enjoy our time together. There were ample comfortable lounging spaces, plenty of available linens including more than enough towels for our group of 8. We also enjoyed the large refrigerator and nice dishwasher that made feeding the group easy and enjoyable. I have no negative remarks about the host, the space, or the amenities provided. Myself and my group all had a wonderful time and should we be planning another air bnb stay will filter by host hoping to stay with David again.

Great Place, Amazing Host

The Judy House was adequate for a few nights stay and pretty much looks the same in pictures. However, the house is in need of a deep clean, maintenance, and attention to detail. Things we liked: David was very responsive to my questions and let us check in an hour early. The house had tvs in every room and the rooms were a nice size. The house also has a patio. Things we didn’t like: Attention to detail is lacking in cleanliness and general maintenance. The level of cleanliness was not terrible but not great. Floors, window sills and baseboards were dirty/dusty, and some of the dishes still had food on them or were not fully cleaned. We discovered several things were either broken or didn’t work properly. Lastly, bring your own toilet paper and hand soap. Hand soap not provided in all bathrooms and only 1 full roll of tp in each bathroom - note we had 5 people in the house.

The house was amazingly. David is an excellent communicator especially with me wanting to check in early. I would definitely recommend him to anyone

Perfect location and the host is Great!

We had a group of 9 stay & there was plenty of room. It's on a quiet street by itself. Very peaceful. Away from the hustle of things. Easy to find & right off the interstate pretty much. Just a 10 min drive to a Walmart & other restaurants. We all enjoyed our stay & we all agreed that we would book this place again. The only downfall which was not a deal breaker at all. But, It's not a fully stocked kitchen. There are some small pans but no baking sheets, bowls ect. So just bring paper plates & ect & I just bought some disposable pans & made it work. If you plan to eat out the whole time you will be just fine.

Beautiful home in a beautiful area. Spacious interior and peaceful surroundings.

We used this place for a family reunion over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room, and we were able to spend our time together.

This was our 3rd time to stay at the Judy House. I think that speaks for itself. The house is spacious, comfortable, and the area is super quiet. Scroll up for my previous reviews for more information. We'll definitely be back again.

The house is cute and has a lot more room than you’d expect! The beds were comfy! David was communicative and accommodating. We will definitely stay again when we visit! I personally appreciate that it was minimally decorated; just enough to feel homey without having tons of stuff everywhere that I have to watch the kids to make sure they don’t touch. Our dogs loved the outdoor space.

First time using AirBNB. Fantastic experience! David is a great host and Judy House is a lovely home away from home. So much better than staying at a hotel!

Judy house is very cozy I recommend the place to rest after a long day of a lot of routine it is a place without so much noise and accessible to nearby cities the house is equal to the description with a lot of space.

Judy's House was exactly what my family and I needed. We were able to travel between Mississippi and New Orleans much more efficiently because of this home. For my first Airbnb experience, we were very satisfied with the hospitality.

Excellent place. Clean, spacious and very convenient. We were in town for a family wedding and had a full-house. Plenty of bedroom space, large living room and kitchen. Great spot!

i enjoyed staying at David's place with two other ladies as we were in town for a conference. Everything was a breeze, and it was nice to have a comfortable place to come to each evening after long meetings. The furniture in the living room was especially comfortable and relaxing after a long day.

When we arrived, the housekeepers were still at the house even though we were 45 minutes past our check-in time. It was a little confusing. I messaged David & he immediately called me to explain that the a/c was broken. He & a repairman showed up shortly & thought they fixed the issue. The a/c started to cool but then stopped again. David returned to the house only to discover that the compressor was bad. Sadly, he didn't have another house available, but he did have a villa. It was much smaller than the Judy House though & also seemed to have some issues with the a/c. It never got below 76 degrees even though we had the thermostat on 65. We like our house quite cool, so we were hot our entire stay. Things happen though, especially in this summer heat. I will say that David was super responsive, helpful, & apologetic. We've stayed in the Judy House once before & we loved it. That's why we booked again. Even though we didn't stay there this time, I would still recommend it.

had an amazing stay at this wonderful quiet and well furnished property. David our host was easy to communicate with. We even lost power for a short bit due to Bad weather and when i messaged David about it he had already called power company and had someone coming out already. will definitely stay again

David is a great host...and willing to help if needed... This was my 3rd stay in Tickfaw and I'll be back in June!!

We needed accommodations for my Grandson’s wedding. This home easily was comfortable for our group including my older in laws. We spent three nights with only an issue with the dishwasher. David came quickly and took care of the issue. Rear patio was a plus as my Father in Law really enjoyed watching squirrels and birds from there. Much more comfortable than hotel rooms for sure and we loved being able to bring our dog along!

This place is an amazing hideaway! The home is so spacious and the area is quiet and cozy. David is a great host ensuring all of our needs were met. The house was very clean with easy access in and out. This make the perfect spot to get away and enjoy family. The back patio is so awesome for morning coffee or late night drinks. There is plenty of room inside and very clean. I would definitely visit Judy’s House again!!

The Judy House was perfect for our family. It was clean, super spacious, comfortable beds and linens, nice sized bathrooms and kitchen. We literally felt like we were at home. There were plenty of bathroom linens and body wash and shampoo as well. The kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you need to cook with as far as pots and pans, dishes, etc. The Keurig was a nice plus for us, as we drink lots of coffee. David even provided some K-cups. This was our 2nd stay in one of David's Airbnb's. We'll definitely stay in The Judy House again. A couple of things that would be nice in the home. *Towel hooks *Bathroom rugs *Sponge or scrub brush in the kitchen

House was excellent. The beds and couches were comfortable. The house felt like being at home. It was close to town so you didn't have to drive far. The host gave us all the information before arriving and left his cell phone if we needed any help.
